Merry Madisonville & Tree Lighting
Everyone enjoys kicking off the holidays with a tree lighting! Celebrate the season with the Merry Madisonville & Tree Lighting at Town Hall. An annual favorite, this year’s event takes place on December 3, from 4 to 8 pm.
There will be caroling, kid-friendly activities, and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Don’t miss Santa’s Workshop and the lighting of the oaks.

CFH’s History and Holly Home Tour
The Covington Heritage Foundation (CHF) celebrates and honors the incredible history of the city of Covington with special events throughout the year.
Their annual History and Holly Home Tour showcases some of the most beautiful homes around the city; this year’s tour features seven historical and new homes with the theme, “Then and Now.”
We can’t think of a better way to learn about Covington history than by viewing some of the city’s loveliest homes!

A Baroque Christmas Concert by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra
The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s 26th season has already begun! Music lovers, be sure to attend the Baroque Christmas concert on December 16 in Covington. This year’s program features Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s Messiah, and redesigned “Outside the Bachs” series.

Christmas Comes Alive in Old Mandeville
The second weekend of December is bursting with holiday merriment in Old Mandeville! First, enjoy filling up your souvenir mug with libations (spirited & non!) at each local shop with Sips of The Season on Friday night, then get a peek into the past with strolling caroling groups, live performances, a children’s Christmas Village, all set to an old-fashioned theme during the Festival of Christmas Past on Saturday morning.
Stick around for Winter on the Water along the lakefront, on Lakeshore Dr. for the lighting of the oaks & a lighted boat parade.
